Artist Spotlight:
Emilie Robinson
Through her experience with P.ink, Emilie came to appreciate the community-based aspect of this work.
Emilie Robinson first got involved with P.ink Days in 2016. She initially volunteered her time and talent to challenge herself and give back, but through her experience with P.ink Days, Emilie has found more fulfillment than she anticipated.
Here are a few things Emilie told us about her P.ink Day experience.
How did this process feel different from other tattoos?
This process felt different than the usual tattoo experience because you are in community from the beginning of the process. You are designing knowing what this will mean for the client and their whole family and network of friends. It’s also a community experience with the other artists who are working the event.
What was your experience like during the event?
I was definitely nervous the first time, but the three subsequent years I was just excited. It can feel like a lot of pressure initially, but once you know how the transformation will go it’s just excited nerves.

“P.ink Days have been a really transformative experience for me, as far as imagining what can be possible with tattoos.”
