Local Leader Spotlight:
Sherri Rosenthal
As a past P.ink Day recipient, Sherri understands the importance of pairing recipients with the right tattoo artist.
Sherri first got involved with P.ink as a recipient in 2015. But after learning that the Local Leader at her location was planning to step down, she felt called to volunteer her time and become the new Local Leader.
How did you first get involved with P.ink?
I was a recipient at P.ink Day Los Angeles in 2015. I had an amazing experience and my mastectomy tattoos changed my life.
Why did you want to become a Local Leader for P.ink Days?
My P.ink Day experience was so positive, I wanted to make sure more women could have this life-changing experience. So when the previous Local Leader (who had helped when I was a recipient) decided to step down, I knew I needed to take it over. She showed me the ropes.
“I am thrilled to have had this experience and to be a factor in changing the lives of so many wonderful, deserving recipients.”
– Sherri Rosenthal
What is your favorite part of leading a P.ink Day event?
I love matching the artists and recipients. Each woman has such unique ideas about what they want their tattoos to look like and while artists’ styles can be different, it’s wonderful to pair the recipient with the perfect artist!
What would you say to someone who is considering signing up to be a Local Leader?
I would strongly encourage anyone to consider signing up to be a Local Leader. The experience is so rewarding. I love that I can help change a cancer survivor’s life. I’ve been told by former recipients that getting the tattoo(s) was life-changing, gave some women back their self-esteem, and that P.ink Day far exceeded their expectations.
